welcome

Great Britain is still replete with decaying ruins from a soon-to-be-forgotten past. Our urban landscape is experiencing a multitude of monumental changes that are rapidly discarding the greatest effects of our country's industrial yesterday towards something new and, one hopes, more hopeful, if not a little uncertain. There are now a great many buildings and structures of the past that have been abandoned, forgotten or disregarded, allowed to fall into a state of decay, rotting shells seemingly devoid of future glory.

These are places that won't really be seen by the public at large. Of course, as on-going urban redevelopment takes place, they will be lost for ever, complete with their own unique history and hidden truths.

Urban Exploration (or Urbex) is about exploring derelict buildings, underground bunkers, disused hospitals, subterranean tunnels, abandoned factories and other such forgotten structures or pieces of land.

This website is purely about my own personal journey through the world of Urban Exploration, discovering those forgotten and abandoned buildings that lie empty and decaying. To many, these empty shells are eyesores, a carbunckle on the modern developed landscape. But to a few, they are treasures to be explored and recorded.

I'm still very much at the beginning of my journey, with places to explore and images to be found within forsaken relics of the not too distant past.

As time goes by, I'll add images and information, share the things that I learn, the mistakes I might make as well as tell stories of discovery and exploration and who knows, maybe I'll encounter a ghost or two of the past along the way

It could be fun!!!
